The new organisation will be led by Benny Svensson who will join ICA Sweden’s management team. He will continue at the same time in the role of CIO for ICA Gruppen and as a member of group Executive Management.

“With the new organisation in place we can really focus on creating value for ICA stores and all customers. At the same time this enables us to have working methods, organisation and technology where time, commitment and resources are put into creating business value for ICA. This has been an extensive effort in collaboration between all companies within ICA Gruppen and I am proud of the organisation we have ended up with,” says Benny Svensson, CIO of ICA Gruppen.

The new organisation will continue to handle group-wide solutions for all companies in ICA Gruppen. Peter Muld, previously responsible for IT at ICA Sweden, remains in ICA Sweden’s management team but with the new position of Chief Strategy & Transformation Officer. The efficiency improvements are expected to free up around SEK 400 million compared with the current organisation.
